The Shalom team visits school in Todonyang.
Tondonyang lies on the border of Kenya and Ethiopia in the volatile region of the Ilemi Triangle where the Shalom Center for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation has been training both the Turkana and Dassenach communities in conflict management.
It is also a place where children from both communities come together and learn in Todonyang Integrated Centre (School). Shalom has helped the school in construction materials, desks and school books in order to give the children an opportunity to study well and create the future they deserve – one free from violence to one full of hope.
In a recent visit to the area, Shalom took the opportunity to visit the school to meet with the teachers and pupils. On the occasion, Shalom presented books and school materials to them.
